Australia's Largest Cross Country Challenge
Missing your usual Cross Country carnival?
What: Here is an event called the Great Australian Cross Country Challenge! It is a virtual run meaning that you run OR walk when and where you want, adhering to social distancing rules, and then log your stats in the results hub. There are also some great prizes to be won, including ASICS gear!
When: Starting May 15th and going until August 31st – you can run once, or as many times as you like.
Where:
- It can be done at home, at the school oval, during PE or at your own session
- It can be on any surface outside – sand, road, grass, footpath, or on a treadmill
- You can do it alone or with others (within social distancing guidelines and when this is allowed of course).
Make sure you stay safe at all times and ensure an adult knows where you are
How?
Go to the following webpage and register. Parents need to register their child (not actual schools).
- Use the code TASSIEXC during the registration process and there will be no cost.
- Run, walk, roll or stroll your way through your age division distance, using your mobile or watch to track your distance and time.
- Visit the Results Hub at gaccc.com.au to upload your results and see where you’re coming in your region, state and around Australia.
This link here will take you to the Schools pack for students/parents to find out more information.
