On August 6th, a group of students from Year 9-10 had an excursion to the Launceston Airport for a tour. We met with various airport staff, including service desk, baggage handlers and passenger service agents. We had the chance to ride a bus on the tarmac, see some different planes take-off, and have a seat in the airport fire truck. Overall, it was a fantastic day to see the various roles involved in running an airport, and a great opportunity to consider what life could potentially look like after leaving school.
