Principals Report

Jeanna_Copy_.png

It has been an exciting week for our students and teachers with the return of face to face classes for our Kindergarten to Year 6 students and Years 11 and 12.  We have included in this weeks newsletter a number of pictures of students engaged in the learning and happy to be back at school. Please remember to send the learning tasks which have been completed at home back to school with the students.  Over the next two weeks teachers will have an assessment focus in their classrooms so please if you have any questions contact the school.

School Cafe

The school Café will be closed for service over several weeks, but the canteen and breakfast club remain open.  Breakfast club will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays for takeaway cereal etc from 8.30am.  Thank you to Janine Targett the School Chaplain and our Youth Networker, Jayne Watts for their organisation and support of breakfast club.

Maintenance

Over the coming weeks we have a number of school maintenance projects which will commence.  The school has removed the water fountains which will be replaced with bottle refill stations that are going to be placed in all three sectors of the school. This will provide fresh water for students to refill their drink bottles. The front fence along Agnes Street is to be extended, new windows will be installed in the Agnes Street ¾ building, new TV’s in a number of classrooms and large TV screens placed in the gymnasium which will be used for assemblies and PE lessons and a new seating area for the junior school to eat their lunch from.

Uniforms

If your child requires a winter school uniform it can be purchased from the school general office. The office has school jumpers, jackets and polar fleece pants available.  A full range of stock and prices is is included in the newsletter.

School drop off and pick up

Parents dropping off and picking up children after school are encouraged to do this in the school car parking areas. If your child needs to be walked to their classroom, could you please not enter the building blocks. We ask parents/guardians not to wait outside classrooms or on the benches etc for extended periods of time and please ensure physical distancing. Thank you for your understanding.

Prep BASE reports have been posted home to families.  If you have any questions in relation to this report please contact your child’s teacher.

Thankyou to South 32 who provided our school with extra hand sanitiser last week!
